What's Inside Diamond's December Issue of PREVIEWS

The front cover of the December PREVIEWS, the comic shop's catalog, celebrates Diamond Select Toys' extensive Marvel Minimates figure line, now the longest-running collector line in toy history. With 37 series of Marvel Minimates already in production, DST continues to build upon its selection of distinct 2.5"-tall figures with the December-solicited Marvel Minimates Series 38. The latest series is inspired by Marvel Comics' Shadowland comic book series and features Daredevil in his Shadowland costume, Spider-Man, Iron Fist, White Tiger, Hand Soldier, and a limited Classic White Tiger variant.

As an added bonus, the catalog’s front cover also provides the first glimpse of DST's Marvel Select Thor Movie: Thor Action Figure, based on the God of Thunder as he'll be portrayed by actor Chris Hemsworth in Marvel Studios' May 2011 blockbuster. This new Marvel Select figure is complimented by the Marvel Select Thor Movie: Loki Action Figure, based on actor Tom Hiddleston’s depiction of Thor's villainous brother. The display stands of Thor and Loki are based on the mythical rainbow bridge and can be combined to form one single diorama.

The back cover of December’s catalog is devoted to DC Comics' DC Universe Online Legends, the 26-issue, biweekly comic book series that ties into the upcoming DC Universe Online massive multiplayer online (MMO) video game. In this series from writers Marv Wolfman and Tony Bedard and artists Howard Porter, Livesay, Adriana Melo, and Norman Lee, Lex Luthor turns to Brainiac for the means of beating Superman, their common enemy – a deal with the Devil that could lead to Brainiac’s invasion of Earth and force Luthor to rely on unlikely allies to stop it.

All this and more is waiting in the December issue of PREVIEWS, which hits your local comic shop on Wednesday, November 24th at a cover price of $4.50. Ask your comic shop retailer on how you can qualify for a free issue. Pre-orders are due to your comic shop by December 11th for merchandise in this issue.
