    Air Hogs are remote controlled flying craft, a line that I believe was originally for kids but has expanded into licenses and more advanced items for adult collectors and enthusiasts. And yes, regarding Vader's TIE most Air Hogs and quad copters are "open" with respect to the fans (see the photo of the Enterprise above) but for this new model they've figured out how to encase the motive mechanism within an outer shell so it looks more like the spaceship on which it's based.
