    Wow, NECA does it again

People have been asking for this fig ever since I can remember

Pinhead, Predators, Aliens Space Marines, Hanibal Lecter, ED-209 -- all the licenses and characters that we had been told over and over were "impossible" to do, they have done.

    Bravo!

    TF13: NECA Green Lights Robocop's ED-209

You Have 20 Seconds To Comply...

CORRECTION: In our original story, we reported that ED-209 will be slightly smaller than his on screen counterpart. This was misinterpreted information from Toy Fair. The ED-209 that was on display at the show was not quite a 2-Up prototype, but it was still slightly larger than what the final figure should be. The production figure - which will be approximately 10" tall - will be 100% in scale with NECA's Robocop action figure when complete. Sorry for the confusion.

A big surprise (quite literally) at NECA's Toy Fair booth this year was the unveiling of ED-209, the menacing security robot seen in 1987's sci-fi classic, Robocop. This towering figure will see release this summer for no more than $60. NECA will rerelease the original Robocop action figure about the same time. The spring holster version is out now and you may want to back track and snag a battle-damaged Robo while you're at it if you want to truly recreate the classic showdown scene from the movie.

ED-209, which will be perfectly in scale with NECA's Robocop action figure, will feature articulation at the waist, arms, shoulder flaps, hips and pistoned legs. About everything but his chicken feet, but a small omission in the scheme of things. Since ED-209 is a go, I asked NECA if we'd see Robocop 2's Cain. Sorry gang, but it appears NECA is sticking with the classic original movie, still no plans for Cain.
