Awesome! The first time I saw that pic I immediately thought of the pods from Starship Troopers (the book) with the peel away outer layers. Of course those didn't actually land, but these are still cool.

In-scale for the mini-figures and to be sold individually (packed with a mini-figure). No firm release date, but wouldn't be surprised to see them "drop" this Fall. Nice to see someone releasing these, wish McFarlane would for their 5" figures. An ODST and drop pod would be too cool.

    Re: TF2010: Halo

I don't have any HALO Mega Bloks yet, but I have to admit that the line looks fantastic. I definitely plan on saving for the Pelican and Shortsword.

Question: what are the "drop pods" in the pictures from Toy Fair? Are these in the mini-figure scale? Will they be sold individually? Inquiring minds want to know!

    TF2010: Halo

Building block line to encompass all the Halo games...

Toy Fair 2010 coverage brought to you by the following fine sponsors: BigBadToyStore.com, PastGenerationToys.com, and Sekaido.com (YesAnimation.com).

MEGA Brands revealed at Toy Fair the expansion of their popular Halo Wars building block series. The line will grow this year to encompass all the Halo games, including the upcoming prequel, Halo: Reach. Packaging for new figures in 2010 will be labled Halo: The Authentic Collector's Series.

To display their extensive new Halo collection, MEGA Brands created a HUGE diorama at Toy Fair showing off all the new figures and vehicles in action. It was quite an impressive site; nicely conveying the great battles collectors can create when amassing a few of these sets.
