Captain Action has just updated the fans with what they can expect for the rest of the year, and there's quite a bit! The biggest news is probably the new Marvel Comics Asgardians: Thor and Loki. On sale now, each figure comes with a full costume, mask, and plenty of cool character-specific accessories. Both figures are available in standard and deluxe versions.

Also from Marvel is a new series of "Classic Cover" figures celebrating specific moments and issues. First up are two 2012 Holiday Exclusives: Captain America with World War II shield and belt (and four postcards of Golden Age covers by Simon & Kirby, Syd Shores, and more) and Thor featuring the bearded look of Walt Simonson's Bronze Age era. Both figures come in basic versions only.

Next up in the standard Captain Action lineup is the fearsome villain Dr. Evil! For those hardcore collectors who have the original figure from the 1960s, don't think that this is just a re-pack. The new Dr. Evil is a "modern interpretation" with an all new face sculpt, and the deluxe edition rocks three interchangeable brains for your displaying pleasure.

Finally, the heroic Captain Action receives his first ever variant figure, the 2012 Holiday Exclusive Arctic Adventurer! Coming soon to Toys R Us and select online retailers, the Adventurer wears a unique outfit and of course comes with fun accessories and weapons.
