Hot Toys, the Japanese known for exceptional quality 12” scale action figures and model kits, continues to add many more popular licenses and familiar faces to their stylized and cutesy figure line called Cosbaby. The Disney Cosbaby Christmas Gift Set pairs two favorite Disney Characters in holiday attire and acts as a preview to the upcoming Disney Friends Cosbaby series.

    Packaging:
The Cosbaby figures come packages in a small window box with Mickey and Donald peeking through. The die-cut of the window coincides with the wreath design on the front and top of the box, highlighted by a large bow with the Mickey icon. The color scheme of the package is, of course, red and green, featuring a plaid wallpaper pattern and ribbon with the Mickey icon repeating around the entire box. The character’s names are printed on either side of the box underneath a sprig of holly as well. The toys themselves come in a plastic shell to keep them protected.

    Sculpt:
Both characters in the set feature iconic sculpts that capture the look and personality of the characters perfectly. Because Mickey and Donald are so visually different, the sculpts are completely unique with nothing shared between the two. Although fairly simplified and cartoony, small details such as the furry texture of their coats and hats and the pie-eyed pupils of the classic era are all present.

    Articulation:
The articulation on these figures is fairly standard and basic for figures this size. Both characters features articulation in the neck, arms, and legs, as well as the wrists and ankles. If you wanted to, you could remove their limbs and heads and swap them out as they have ball joints and pin joints.

    Paint:
Mickey and Donald have a pretty basic paint apps with a large amount of white and red that is detailed and cleanly applied. In addition, Mickey has a large amount of glossy black, while Donald has his orange bill and feet.

    Overall:
With the addition of a mini Disney-themed greeting card, this 2-pack set made a great holiday gift this past season or a wonderful gift anytime for Disney fans of all ages. You can find the Disney Cosbaby Christmas Set now at your favorite online retailer from Hot Toys.
