    New Kotobukiya Mecha Model Kits

Frame Arms Baselard and Muv Luv Alternative EF-2000 Typhoon...

Frame Arms Baselard With Bombardment Unit (pictured above)

Next up in Kotobukiya’s Frame Arms original series of robot model kits is the return of a popular unit with a new look and new weapons, the Baselard With Bombardment Unit. Beneath the outer armor is a basic robot skeleton, or “Frame,” which is highly articulated and covered in universal 3mm attachment points (compatible with Koto’s Modeling Support Goods series and much more) for extreme customization. A fast and agile attack robot with sleek humanoid body covered in thruster nozzles, this new version takes the standard Baselard and upgrades it with two sets of the MSG Weapon Unit 18 Freestyle Bazooka as well as a newly shaped visor. The Bombardment Unit release also features 200 parts pre-colored in a new brown, gray, and white color scheme and decals for extra detailing.

    Available January 2014.

Muv Luv Alternative EF-2000 Typhoon Wilfried Van Aichberger Ver. (pictured below)

Next up in the ultra-popular model kit series based on Muv-Luv Alternative is another version of the European Union’s 3rd generation Tactical Surface Fighter, the EF-2000 Typhoon Wilfried Van Aichberger Ver. It has the same aeronautical design with striking wing and thrusters, heavy armor, and unique angular/horned head as the previous incarnations (like the Cerberus Battalion version), but this time it’s pre-colored in the personal unit colors of Wilfried Van Aichberger; the sleek jet black of the “Schwarzenkonigwolf” is immediately recognizable, and you can further customize it with included decals for extra detailing. Wilfried’s Typhoon model kit is comprised of 400 pieces and is recommended for intermediate to advanced model kit builders. As with all TSF model kits this one comes equipped with a variety of heavy-duty weaponry for both ranged and melee combat. Standing slightly over 7 inches tall, the unique EF-2000 has multiple points of articulation for a wide range of posing options (some extreme poses may require a display stand - sold separately).

    Available December 2013.
