Todd-designed figures from the game expansion: "Lord Blackthorn's Revenge".

Despite the much-hyped MMORPG Ultima Online 2 never making it to retail, an expansion called "Lord Blackthorn's Revenge" eventually did. Aside from improved game AI and improved character creation, the expansion pleased players with cool new characters designed by Spawn creator Todd McFarlane. Seeing that he helped design it, action figures from McFarlane Toys were inevitable. The series was first previewed at Toy Fair 2002 with a show exclusive pewter repaint of Lord Blackthorn himself, and later with a line of six figures. With a unique fantasy steampunk vibe, these collectibles are favorites of mine, especially the hulking wheeled Juggernaut and cyber-enhanced Blackthorn.
