Among [B]NECA’s[/B] exclusives at this year’s Comic-Con was a very unique alien warrior from the company’s hit line of Predator figures, the [B]Albino Predator[/B]!  An original design based on a Predator in the fan film [B]Dead End[/B], the Albino fits right in with the recent imaginative colors and designs in the standard figure line.  This exclusive came in standard Predator packaging, the figure encased in a plastic bubble attached to a tall J-hook card.  In front of the figure is the series title and this character’s name along with the SDCC exclusive logo and the notation that it has “New and Improved Articulation & Unique Shoulder Armor.”  The back of the card has neat artwork of the Albino plus a brief bio; apparently the genetic mutant is a pariah but part of Big Red’s clan, keeps to the shadows, and prefers to fight hand to hand with extreme ferocity.  The card also shows off figures coming in Fall 2013.

Beneath its coloring the Albino looks like most other “standard” Predators, a scaly humanoid with clawed hands, massive feet, and a monstrous head.  The action figure has a fantastic sculpt accenting the texture of the Predator’s lumpy body and fishnet outfit, and on top of that is the intricate armor stylings on his greaves, belt, thighs, forearms, and chest harness/shoulders.  The head has an outstanding sculpt as well, capturing the fearsome face with its sunken eyes, massive forehead, and open mandibles.  Of course what really sets the Albino apart is his coloration, a very interesting mix of white at his core radiating outward to a fiery orange, as well as a smattering of black tribal tattoos.  The changes in colors is nicely asymmetrical across the body, and the head in particularly has cool splotches and variegated white, orange, and black that draws in the eye.  The Predator’s armor and clothing is mostly dark brown with some black, letting the Albino’s unpigmented skin shine through.

As a vicious hand to hand combatant the Albino Predator comes with no accessories, but does wear his extending wrist blades.  The figure has the excellent articulation we’ve come to expect from the Predator line with a ball-jointed head, ball-jointed shoulders, ball-jointed elbows, wrists, waist, ball-jointed hips, thighs, double-jointed knees, and ball-jointed ankles.  Standing just under 8 inches tall, the Albino is a very cool looking figure that was well worth the $25 at NECA’s Comic-Con booth.  If you can find it for a good deal on the secondary market it will be a welcome addition to your more colorful and exotic Predators.
