Hot Toys Releases Limited Edition Avengers VIP Gift Set

Limited Edition Light-Up Avengers Necklace and Promo Folder...

To insure your action figure collection, get in touch with Collectibles Insurance, the official insurance company of the Figures.com network. Say "Figures.com" to get 5% off your first term premiums.

    To buy action figures, take a look at BigBadToyStore.com, RedfordFilms.com, Toynk.com, PastGenerationToys.com, BriansToys.com, ToyWiz.com, and MonkeyDepot.com.

Last month, with the release of Avengers to the big screen, VIP fans at a special screening in Hong Kong received a very special gift set courtesy of Hot Toys. While no action figure was included, the set - which comes sealed in a ziplock-style baggie (above) and features a "Hot Toys Avenger Assemble" sticker and logo - includes a cool promotional folder as well as a very impressive battery-operated, light-up "A" necklace attached to a Hot Toys lanyard (below).

The promotional folder includes images of the previously announced Hot Toys Movie Masterpiece figures - including Iron Man Mark VI, Nick Fury, and Hawkeye MMS figures as well as shuttered image which, when pulled down, gives fans a look at the forthcoming modern Captain America MMS figure (below).

As for the lanyard, the battery-operated piece gives off a light blue glow when twisted on. At approximately 3" tall, it's a fairly substantial decoration and will no doubt make many a fans and collectors jealous.

Overall, the set is impressive and should make for some frustrated collectors as the piece is currently unavailable at retail and has reached prices as high as $110.00 on the secondary market.

We here at Figures.com look forward to providing you with additional looks at future Hot Toys MMS figures, including the forthcoming Avengers MMS figures, available for pre-order now at many of our fine sponsors.

    - a special "thank you" to Hot Toys for the sample Avengers VIP Set

    - Jess C. Horsley
