SDCC14: Mattel Hot Wheels Star Wars The Force Is Strong With New Line Of Cars And Vehicles... CHECK OUT A PHOTO GALLERY OF THE SDCC 2014 MATTEL HOT WHEELS DISPLAY! Hot Wheels is one of Mattel's perennial brands, and this year it's going in a huge new direction under a partnership with Star Wars! San Diego Comic-Con of course led the way with an exclusive Darth Vader Hot Wheels car and a couple of display cases showing attendees what we can expect in stores. First off is the Star Wars Character Car assortment, which is similar to what Hot Wheels has done in the past with DC Comics, Power Rangers, etc. These vehicles are standard sized and feature decos and special sculpts capturing unique Star Wars characters. Look for these starting in the Fall along with cars celebrating specific movies and series. Then there's a whole new line of Star Wars vehicles! On display at SDCC were mainly spaceships of the Starships Assortment (coming Spring 2015) and featuring the Millennium Falcon, X-Wing, TIE Fighter, Star Destroyer, Mon Calamari capital vessels, and more on unique flight bases. There will also be 2-packs, Play Sets (shown were the Rebels Transport Attack and Hoth Echo Base Battle), Death Star Play Case, and a light and sound Flight Controller! -Scott Rubin CHECK OUT A PHOTO GALLERY OF THE SDCC 2014 MATTEL HOT WHEELS DISPLAY!
