Tonner Doll Company reveals that they will be offering DARK PHOENIX as their San Diego Comic-Con 2011 exclusive. The fiery superheroine marks the third release in Tonner's all-new Marvel Tonner Character Figure assortment, their first two figures being Captain America and Scarlet Witch, which both quickly sold out upon their debut at the Tonner Convention in May.

"I found the inner conflict inside of Jean Grey captivating, and so naturally, her evil counterpart Dark Phoenix was high on my list of Marvel characters to make," commented Robert Tonner, CEO and doll artist.

In keeping with the fine detail and quality of Tonner's other product lines, Dark Phoenix will boast hand-painted facial details, including mirrored eyes and fine rooted saran hair. She features a recently enhanced 16" vinyl and hard plastic body with 13-points-of-articulation for dynamic poses. Dark Phoenix's alluring costume consists of a red bodysuit with metallic "Phoenix" emblem and attached gloves, thigh-high faux leather boots, and matching gold sash with a "Phoenix" charm. A display stand is also included.

Dark Phoenix will be offered to Comic-Con attendees July 21-24 at Tonner's booth #4149. The figure will have a very limited edition size of only 150 pieces.
