Re: DC Universe Classics Wave 15 Revealed

Oh how I envy the DC fans who not only keep getting more and more figs from not one but TWO great manufacturers, but also keep getting lots of NEW characters who've never been done in action figure form before.

The death of the Marvel Legends line has left just the (great but s-l-o-w) trickle of Marvel Select stuff (when IS that Abomination going to show up anyway? He's missed 2 delivery dates so far) and the occasional movie-related hype.

Oh how I would love to see the same depth of obscure characters from the Marvel universe being made into 6"~7" scale fig form.

Anyhoo, even though I don't really read DC I will be getting at least a couple of these DCU figs cuz they just look so damned cool.

    Keep it coming Mattel!

Mattel reveals today a first look at DC Universe Classics Wave 15. This series is coming late this summer, hitting Kmart first in late August/early September, then retailers everywhere in the fall.

Golden Pharaoh - Golden Pharaoh is armed with his Pyramid Power staff and rocks a transparent purple torso and collar.

Classic Starman - Traditional version of Starman is well equipped with his Cosmic Rod and a Stellar Energy Pistol.

Modern Starman - The updated version of Starman lands with his trusty Cosmic Rod and features contemporary translucent parts.

OMAC - Cyborg OMAC in his first outing as a DCUC action figure.

Martian Manhunter - Two versions will be released, standard figure and a hard-to-find chase version with Martian head and "weapon" hand.

Raven - Stunning and smart, the Fan's Choice winner comes to life as an action figure.

Sinestro Corps Batman - Commemorating his near-indoctrination into the dark side, our hero comes with a transparent Batarang ring construct.

Jemm – The Son of Saturn gets ready to make his first-ever appearance as an action figure.

Collect-And-Connect Validus - Collect all 7 figures above to create this fearsome 9" Collect and Connect figure. Validus arrives with a crystal-clear head dome to reveal his heinously huge brain.

Mattel also provides a look at five JLU singles coming to a Target store near you later this year:

Future JLU Superman with Starro Spore - In a double dose of firsts, this release will mark the initial availability of an all-new figure, plus it includes fan-favorite Starro Spore as a never-before-offered accessory.

Barry Allan as The Flash with Lightning Bolt - First time offered.

Power Ring - Evil twins everywhere will rejoice when Power Ring joins their ranks for the first time as an action figure. Features a giant green hand construct.

Batman Beyond with Batarang - Available for the first time as a single.

Mr. Terrific - Also making his big debut as a single, the ever-present T-spheres have been completely redesigned.
