[B]NECA[/B] was kind enough to introduce us to their successful new series of 8-inch Mego-style action figures with a closer look at [B]Evil Dead II's Ash[/B] and [B]"Jason"[/B] (actually Roy Burns- the Jason imposter) from [B]Friday the 13th: A New Beginning[/B]. Their size and the addition of real cloth outfits invokes a nostaglic Mego doll vibe, but NECA's use of realistic portraits and accessories makes these figures less doll-like and more like deluxe versions of their long-popular 7-inch sculpted line. Another outstanding feature is the use of collector-friendly clam shells starring gorgeous art work by NECA's lead painter, Jon Wardell. Great stuff!
