X Concepts/Spin Master TECH DECK DUDE Fingerboarding figure fun... For a great selection of sports action figures and collectibles, check out BigBadToyStore.com, ToyDorks.com, ToyWiz.com, Urban-Collector.com, and BriansToys.com. To insure your action figure collection, get in touch with our sponsor Collectibles Insurance. I never got into the whole "fingerboard" toy collecting trend. Heck, I can't stand on a REAL skateboard without falling flat on my butt. But Tech Deck Dudes were something different, collectible figures that even this non-grinding fool could appreciate. Originally started by X Concepts in the early 2000's and now run by Spin Master, the approximately 2 inch tall "Dudes," as they are lovingly called, resemble human fingers sculpted as a host of different characters. Below are some of the ones I own, everything from Hellraiser's Pinhead, err "Pierce," to God of War's Thanos, I mean "Art". Yeah, some of these skated the rim of licensing infringement pretty close, some even being pulled from shelves (DC sued over a Batman Dude called "Adam"). The great thing about them, aside from the cool characters and small collectible size (and price tag), was the magnets hidden in their feet for "riding" the included fingerboard. The boards immediately went in the spare parts bin, but those magnets came in handy for displaying them on a number of metal surfaces, like the side of my computer desk.
