Round 2 Celebrates The Wizard of Oz's 75th Anniversary

A Variety of Collectibles From the Classic 1939 Film...

You'd be hard pressed to find someone that has not seen The Wizard of Oz. The 1939 movie has embedded itself in popular culture with its endearing cast of characters and magical, child-like innocence. 2013 marks the 75th Anniversary of the classic film and Round 2 - through their Forever Fun division - is celebrating with a selection of Wizard of Oz collectibles sure to have you humming "follow the yellow brick road". Hitting K-Mart retail stores nationwide November 1st is a collection of Wizard of Oz clip-ons, push puppets, pull toys and vinyl banks. The latter includes The Emerald City and Dorothy and look great as stand-alone pieces or as a safe place to stash your coins. In an unusual marketing twist, fans will also be able to purchase the Wizard of Oz clip-ons at Lowes. Home improvement and collectibles? Sounds like a perfect fit to me!

Lastly, for the creative types, Round 2 will be releasing a Wicked Witch of the West model kit through their Polar Lights brand. This detailed piece features the evil witch and her flying monkey minion gazing at our unsuspecting adventurers in her magical crystal ball. Look for the Wicked Witch of the West model kit in the first quarter of 2014 through Diamond Comic Distributors to be sold at a hobby store near you. More images of it can be found in our Round 2 New York Comic Con photo gallery HERE.
