Great news that they are working from the ground up on these figures, hopefully they will have much better articulation. Maybe we will finally have a COG that can crouch, lol!

How many series left for GOW2 until GOW3?

Kantus, Skorge and maybe some Boomers still to come. Tai and Dizzy are not likely.
I don't understand why they won't do a Tai or Dizzy, they are in such high demand on the various forums I read. This is the exact reason why I want NECA to do polls to allow their fans to have a voice, after all it is us who buy the product.
Also, just because they will be shifting their focus to Gears 3 doesn't mean they should stop doing Gears 1 or 2 characters. After all, they were releasing characters from Gears 1 during the Gears 2 line.

Looks like the Gears in the video go against the COG and are on their own!
No, the Coalition has disbanded or dismantled. Everyone is essentially a Stranded. Full details on the offical GOW forum where EPIC has a stickied post updating everyone on GOW3 news.

Since you've announced Gears 3 Figures, do you have any insight on when we can expect news on Series 6's lineup/release date?

Not yet, some re-shuffling and possible retail exclusives under consideration so no announcements until plans are final.
Please try to release the exclusives worldwide. I was disappointed that I couldn't get any of the Bonus TRU Wave in the UK.

We will, good chance of an international wave later this year that could include the TRU wave along with others.

The characters look SOOOOO awesome in the new trailer. They really reflect the fact that they've been living outside of a city environment. I almost didn't recognize Dom right away. And that moment he basically allows the grub to take a shot at him... wow! Powerful stuff!

Game bought. Figures bought. NECA's re-designing them from the ground up? Be still, my beating heart, can they actually get better?

EPIC Games' design director, Cliff Bleszinski, appeared on NBC's Late Night With Jimmy Fallon last night officially announcing Gears of War 3. The third title in the best-selling Xbox 360 franchise, Gears of War 3 will launch in early April, 2011.

A debut trailer named "Ashes to Ashes" was also shown and can be viewed below. Highlights include new weapons, such as a double-barreled shotgun and Pendulum Wars-era Lancer and new characters consisting of a female COG soldier and new tentacled, Lambent enemy. Cliff Bleszinski's Twitter feed also reveals that four-player co-op will be supported in the campaign.

In exciting action figure news, NECA's Head of Product Development, Randy Falk confirmed with Figures.com that Gears of War 3 action figures are in the works. Randy commented that "at least two will be on display at San Diego Comic-Con. They are 100% new from the ground up - all new sculpts with tons of articulation – way more than previous figures."
