This was a good wave but it's also a sad memory because it spelled the beginning of the end for Movie Maniacs, one of many people's most beloved lines

In its industry-changing beginnings, Movie Maniacs was an eclectic mix of horror icons. Jason, the Terminator and the Tooth Fairy in one assortment? No problemo. Part of the fun was guessing which cult classic films and characters McFarlane would introduce in each series. Series 6, however, took an unexpected turn with its release of ALL Aliens and Predators. While the wild variety in Series 6 was gone, the assortment was far from a failure. Fans had been clamoring for detailed figures of these creatures for some time, and until Hot Toys' and NECA's current releases, these were the best that money could buy. The crowning jewel in this assortment was the deluxe boxed set: The Alien Queen. I think I paid around $25 for her at the time, a bargain considering the Queen's towering size (this figure was HUGE!). Something like that on the market today would easily retail for $40. My, have times changed.
