    It's so sad to realize that this period of coolness was now almost a decade ago.

    We went from this to today's puny little 4" McF figs.

    With this 2003 assortment, McFarlane gave fans what they wanted with figures of Spawn, Spawn and more Spawn. Not just funky variants (ie Commando Spawn, et al), these renditions of the cursed hero were all based on the art of classic Spawn comic covers. There really wasn't a bad figure in this bunch, the series spawning fan favorites such as SPAWN I.039, aka "Santa Spawn", SPAWN I.088, aka "Halloween Spawn" and the over-the-top cape wearing SPAWN I.043.
