Smile Introductions.

Hello everyone!

I believe you can tell much about a person by their collection. If you've got some time, check out mine by clicking on this link -

http://www.premium-format.de/V3/gall...2_itemId=93346

I'm a seasoned collector of comic book, horror, and science fiction collectibles. My collection is pretty large and diverse. My favorites characters are the Aliens, Predators and Terminators. I grew up on Marvel & DC, as well as the classic Universal Monsters and sci-fi movies like Forbidden Planet, The Day The Earth Stood Still, etc...

My screen name, I was born with vision in my left eye only, both are real, but I only see out of my "one eye", I wanted a unique spelling and feel that ONEYE works, the dots, well, I was feeling creative and added them in.

Ok, your turn.

Re: Introductions.

Hey, I'm Jon.
Some of you know me from Spawn.com...as the greatest board member ever!
haha, j/k
Or rather, the crappiest Asian gamer ever.

I don't have any collection pics up unfortunately other than the ones I post whenever I get new figures in for those haul threads.

I collect nearly anything and everything, but mostly focus on anime figures, videogame figures, comic book figures, and fantasy figures.

Occasionally some movie figures, if the movie is interesting enough. Just broke into 1/6 figures recently and it's become quite addicting.

Currently looking for a HT Hellboy and Appleseed Duenan and Briareos.

As for smaller scale figures, really want to get those Fullmetal Alchemist Kai figures, but man are they pricey.

I should probably head over the B/S/T board for that, hehe.

Re: Introductions.

Hey, everybody. I'm Scott, toy collector in sunny Southern California. I've been a reader of Figures.com for quite a long time, and I've been a reviewer/reporter here for almost three years (Evolutions Clone Commandos is my 161st review).

I collect a variety of toys including spaceships of all kinds, Robotech/Macross, War Planets/Shadow Raiders, Star Wars, 3 3/4 figs, some DC and Marvel, and lots of stuff that would fall under the category of "Etc." I'll pick up anything that strikes my fancy, and at the same time I'm not really a completist in any category. On the side I also accumulate role playing game books and a wide array of collectible miniatures.

In my "normal life" I have a Master's degree in Classics with an emphasis in Ancient Latin. Guess how often that comes in handy at my day job as editor and online marketing manager for a company that teaches men how to pick up women? The answer: not very. Otherwise I'm pretty much a homebody relaxing on the couch with my wife and cat, watching terrible movies.

Check out my site for pics (sadly out of date) of my collection as well as a listing of all of my reviews!

Hey Scott! I think in your honor, we should also call you "Ancient Latin Guy".

Jon,
He's got to know his stuff, he's married!

Hello everyone! My name's Jeff Saylor (Gonzo22 on Spawn forums). Most know me as your daily provider of action figure and collectible news on this fine site (which just got MUCH better IMO!). I'm pretty much an overall pop culture nerd.

Like Oneye I'm an avid collector of anything ALIEN. I love Terminator and cool robots. Replica space ships, prop replicas... if it's sci-fi/fantasy/horror I've gotta have it. Lately I've been collecting NECA's cool Gears of War and select Player Select figures, anything HALO, and just getting into Ashley Wood's WWRp. Can't wait to get the first wave of Brambles.

Like Scott I LOVE movies. Love music. In the last year or so I've rediscovered my love of video games. My gaming tends to come in waves through the years: Atari 2600 & Commodore 64 in the '80s, SEGA Genesis & PC in the '90s and now Xbox360 & Wii in the 21st Century! Some of my favorites include HALO 3, Fallout 3, Mass Effect, BioShock and the LEGO games. Presently I'm playing Doom 3 (wasn't gaming when that first hit!) and have Batman: Arkham Asylum ready to go next.

Other than that I'm a rather laid back guy taking immense pleasure in my hobbies. I have a wonderful wife named Traci and a household of Krids (Kids + Critters=Krids). 2 dogs Bobo and Pepper (Chihuahua mixes), Jasper the cat, 2 50 gallon fresh water fish tanks and an African Dwarf Frog named Frik

What name should I go by Oneye? Administrator sounds pretty lame. And "Frog Man" won't do

Enjoy your stay everyone, I'm really looking forward to this new and improved Figures.com and closer collecting community!

Almost forgot to add, I'll be off next week on vacation, but you're in good hands with Scott and Oneye. I'll see you all Nov 1st!

Re: Introductions.

Hello and good day to you all!

I'm DrJackManson (GuyverJ on Spawn.com), just call me Jack. I started collecting toys since 2001 when I was still in school. Tood McFarlane's Spawn got me hooked on toy collecting and I've been collecting ever since.

My collection consists of mainly action figures from McFarlane Toys and NECA. I also have few manga/anime based action figures. Recently I've shifted my interest towards sixth scale figures, mostly are Hot Toys stuffs.

I'm also a fan of movies, video games, and comic books. Favourite movies are Donnie Darko, Generation Kill, The Hurt Locker, Behind Enemy Lines, and many more. And I can talk about video games for hours! An avid video game fan, that's why some of my collections are characters based on video games. Currently playing Doom 3 on the XBOX.

Well, that's it, my not so good introduction. The best "speech" I can come up with. Hopefully I'll get to meet more nice people here. Thanks.
