Question What do you consider "collector friendly" packaging? 7 of 9 bust example.

Here is what I consider to be "collector friendly". It would be a flip top/tab box that should have at least one "window" to clearly see what it inside. The inner packing material should protect the item, but be designed so that it can allow viewing through the window as well as slide right out of the box when opened. Sturdy and good materials to be used throughout. If the item is numbered, the box should also be numbered.

This top window is a nice extra, but as long as there is at least one if the front this one isn't absolutely necessary.

I just think this is how all collectibles should be done. What's your opinion?

Some out of package pictures.

I agree. A package with a flip open top, clear front window and numbering on the box (if applicable).
FunKo follows this example to the letter. I recently purchased their Robby the Robot bobblehead and was able to remove, examine and place him back in his box with no problems. Biff!Bang!Pow! did this with their Twilight Zone bobbles too as did NECA with their Coraline dolls.

Thank you so much for your reply.

How is that Robby? It's on my "to get someday" list.

To be completely honest, I havent seen collector friendly packaging on anything. If its clamshelled, they crush, cards bend and crease. Figures need to be sold in acrylic cases all the time.
