Modifying the Blu Ray Terminator Salvation T-600 bust.

Decided to go ahead and operate. The eyes must light up! First thing I did was use a Philips head small screwdriver and take the base off. There is a hole the goes all the way through the neck into the hollow head. (This bust was designed to have light up eyes, but only the Japanese version has this ability. All others are like mine... "dormant".) I'll be going to Radio Shack to get the parts I need and will post that information later on.

I could tell the back head plate was glued on. Rather than try to remove it "Resistance style", I took a hair dryer and blew hot air up into the skull through the base air hole. (Yep, I said that.) I did this until I could feel the skull getting warm. Then I stopped and aimed the hair dryer on the edges of the plate from the outside, until I couldn't take the heat anymore. I lifted up the plate from the bottom near the neck/spine. It popped right off, no break. You have to do this from the bottom of the plate. The pictures will show why, but you will break it the plate ridge at the top if you remove it any other way.

    On to the pictures...

My T2 bust eyes no longer light up. I don't know what's wrong and how to proceed now.

This is what I am using, but taking the red bulb cover off.

I forgot I bought the above at Michaels a long time ago, never used it, so... I'll just put 25 fibers into each eye lens.

Have to do it later, got a Dental appointment... I hope he doesn't ask me, "Is it safe?"

Works! I didn't take the time to adjust the fiber optics, just stuck them in the back of the eye holes. The part that contains the light bulb and fiber optics fits perfectly in the bottom hole too!

I didn't like the fiber optics, so I changed to this set up:

    I hope that helps.

Well, I'm happy with it... now.

Just for fun, the other bust.
