Hobbits In Hiding! Collectors may be beside themselves waiting for NECA's Epic Scale Figures but as we pointed out with our recent report on the Smeagol Talking Plush, NECA has a lot more to offer Lord of the Rings fans. From votive holders to snowglobes they have some fantastic collectibles for those not interested in action figures.
The next snowglobe (pictured above) in the NECA collection is due this summer. Here's the official word from the NECA website:
A Hobbit's life is usually filled with things most humble and tranquil, though that seems not to be the case for the Baggins family. They've gone there and back again, and Bilbo went through enough alone to fill up an entire song sang by Mr. Spock himself. Unfortunately for Frodo, he had a lot to live up to. Following in his uncle's oversized and hairy footsteps, he sets out on a journey to carry the One Ring and it's entire burden. He would not do this alone however, as his friends from the shire could not bare to stay behind.
Here in this snowglobe we see Frodo, Samwise, Merry, and Pippin all hiding out during their terrifying pursuit by the Ringwraiths. This very large globe captures the drama of the scene direct from the film perfectly, as the Ringwraith clutches the glass globe within its grasp. This globe shall be out this summer in specialty stores everywhere. Any Lord of The Rings fan would love to have this in their collection so be sure not to miss it!
