Following in the footsteps of the Disney exclusive figures of Mickey Mouse and gang as popular Star Wars characters, it’s only natural for them to do one of the adventurous Indiana Jones. With both Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises playing heavy roles in Disney Theme Park history, the exclusive was a no brainer.

Standing tall at about two inches, Mickey Mouse is properly in scale with Hasbro's Indiana Jones figures, but he is definitely not to scale with Disney’s previous exclusive of Indiana Jones himself.

Selling for a sticker price of $8.00, those who visit Disneyland’s Indiana Jones Outpost (California) or Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost (Florida) stores can grab themselves a figure. For those far away, you can attempt to order these through the Disneyland DelivEars hotline at 1-800-362-4533 or hunt them down on the secondary market.

PACKAGING: The figure is packaged in a very standard card and bubble, very similar to Disney's past efforts. The figure and accessories are displayed very clearly so those who go to the parks can pick out their favorite one. The back of the card shows an image of the figure and nothing else. There wasn't a lot of effort put into this which is pretty disappointing.

SCULPT: What can I say? It’s Mickey Mouse as Indiana Jones. It’s a more ragged Mickey than we’re used to, but it’s certainly the right likeness. The hat is sculpted onto the head so if you’re hoping to take it off, it’s not going to happen. It’s a very simple sculpt and since it’s only a cartoon version, there’s no real point in harping on the details. It is what it is and in this instance, they’ve done a decent job.

PAINT: Certainly not the highlight of the figure, the paint serves its purposes but does nothing more to enhance the figure. Browns are brown, tan is tan, and black is black. The lines aren’t very strong so make sure you grab a good one.

ARTICULATION: Eight dollars and only four points of articulation. Not much of an action figure if you ask me. Mickey has articulated neck, arms and waist which really doesn’t allow a whole lot of variations.

ACCESSORIES: Mickey only comes with three items: whip, messenger bag, and a silver, not gold, Mickey idol. The whip isn’t bendy so it will look the same way at all times. As for the messenger bag, Mickey’s head is removable for easy placement. The idol is chrome plated and looks decent, but it’s too bad it didn’t resemble the actual idol a little more.

VALUE: The figure costs $8.00, which is similar to other Indiana Jones figures, although you’re not getting the quality of Hasbro here.

OVERALL: If you’re a fan of Disney and Indiana Jones, this just may be the souvenir for you. It’s not the best looking action figure on the market, but it’s just a funny toy to have. Despite the overall cheap quality of it, I do like it. What you see is what you get, so if you like it then put it on your list next time you visit a Disney park.
