Yet another new vinyl line from HyperChild! Fans heading out to San Diego Comic Con had already received word from us that HyperChild had plans to unveil their Deviants. What attendees didn't expect, was that another new assortment of collectible vinyl figs would be on display as well: Garbage Robots.
"In a barren, desolate solar system, there is a single planet orbiting a dying sun that supports no indigenous life, and, while even the simplest microbe vanished eons ago, the planet is chaotic with activity. For this planet is covered with machines. Not just toaster ovens, can-openers and dishwashers, but SENTINENT robots which have built a civilization, developed a culture and a forced history. However, for all of that history, the knowledge of who created them, and for what purpose, is a mystery."
Thus begins the tale of this futuristic roto-cast series, consisting of six renegade robots- led by a young robot named Rubble -in a quest for the Garbage Robot Holy Grail: a mythical power source known only as the "Infinite Battery". For years they raced across the galaxy in search of this "Grail". With their battery life near exhausted, they finally found it, but by then, it was too late. Powerless and frozen in time, the seven were eventually discovered and reawakened by a wise old robot master named Kensor.
"Recharged and reborn, the Garbage robots now find themselves with no expiry date and extroardinary new powers- the limits to which they can only imagine, but, those limits willbe put to the test as Kensor sends them on a clandestine mission, the purpose of which is known only to him..."
This unique, worldwide limited edition series due out this Winter, will kick off with Rubble, Rhythm, Ammo, Seaman, Trucher, Rochet, and Sheepdog. Each figure will star 4-5 points of articulation, measure 7"-9" in height, and will come window box packed with an "internal power battery".
