Star Wars fans at Celebration 4 got a sneak peak and the first chance to pick up the new WizKids Star Wars PocketModels Trading Card Game (TCG), but with SDCC in full-force last week, the game is now available to the public!
This ingenious game features punch-out constructible ship models and cards in a dynamic battling system which is sure to keep Star Wars fans intrigued.
At the WizKids booth at last week's Comic Con, fans could test their metal and try out the game for themselves while looking over the giant foam PocketModel ships - which are always a hit. As at C4, WizKids raffled off some of these to a select few - and lucky - fans.
In addition to the standard packs with up to 8 ships and 6 cards, Wizkidsis now offering the Imperial Power-Up Pack, a small boxed set with theImperial Star Destroyer, seven more ships, and 30 cards! Mix and match them all to make your own fleet and take on your friends...and enemies.
Wizkids has awesome plans for this line, including upcoming expansion sets easily integrated into the currently-existing game. Wizkids even hinted at a new set coming soon bringing the action a little closer to the ground with a new series of land vehicles!
