Underdog first premiered in 1964, delighting superhero fans both young and old. Long a staple of kid's cartoons Underdog has continued to have popularity through the generations. Concurrent with a new re-imaginedUnderdog live-action/CG feature film and the DVD release of the original cartoon Mezco is releasing Underdog action figures!

On display at Comic-Con were the figures from the first Underdog wave (due to hit stores now). There are two Underdog figures (one with 'silly' eyes and one with 'stern' eyebrows), the lovely Sweet Polly Purebred, the greedy Riff Raff, and the mad Simon Barsinister. All of these feature original cartoon styling and bright colors, really bringing to life the classic characters. The figures feature multiple points of articulation and a wealth of alternate limbs and accessories.

Also on display and available was Mezco's Underdog convention exclusive: a Deluxe 2-Pack of Underdog and Simon Barsinister. The Underdog of this set has red eyes and a yellow transistor on his head along with additional limbs, while Simon Barsinister has a scientific device. The set also includes a laboratory backdrop.
