The Japanese Original Sculpture Series called Tandem Twin Animal Girls from Yamato constantly pushes the envelope in terms of both the sex and the naughty. This sell-out series comes from talented sculptor Kouichi Yamazaki and features voluptuous female half-animal, half-human hybrids. Each figure has a twin (or more) that is a color variant of the other. Momo is one of several Leopard girls released by Yamato in different color schemes in a series that also includes Cloe,Sharon, and Schell. Each girl comes with an optional body to put a more spicy edge on their already revealing attire. Packaging: Momo comes packaged in a four-color window box with a front window and top opening flap. The series name and logo is repeated on all sides, as well as imagery of the figure itself. The package features a really cool silhouette design and several other decorative patterns throughout. The overall color scheme is blue with details in black & white. The figure is housed in a plastic clamshell in the box along with several pieces of plastic protecting her paint. One detail that stands out from other characters is the package is a lot smaller and thinner than previous boxes due to the characters more vertical pose. Sculpt: After seeing such fantastic sculpting and detail on other recent Tandem Twin releases such as Bonnie, I was taken aback by the simplistic and uninteresting design on the Leopard girl series. Momo is sculpted in a boring standing pose with her arm raised and her other arm to her side. The figure suffers from a lack of character and even the facial sculpt seems flawed. The one tooth showing would look cute, but not with a full set of lips. Her outfit is a pink leather get-up with a corseted top that covers the top of her breasts and a g-string that just covers the naughty bits. Her pink sleeved arms and legs are complimented by red and black buckled bands. The only redeeming qualities of the figure stem from the inclusion of an alternate option body. The alternate body has a smaller corset that sits under her breasts, leaving them exposed and pushed up. The other good point to this is that with her head, arms, and legs being removable, it allows them to be posed in slightly different positions. Paint Application: The paint apps on Momo definitely have their highs and lows. The biggest problem that arises is the excessive airbrushing to her clothed body. The orange hues make her look sunburned and the color of her breasts don’t match the rest of her body. The problem is fixed on the topless body and makes this the ideal display option. The rest of the figure is painted nicely with a shimmering pink used on her sleeves, stockings, and leather outfit. All of the small details like her buckles, cords, and buttons are all painted cleanly. Her hair has a nice layered airbrush color to give it depth and her eyes have been applied perfectly. Overall Impression: While Momo is one of the more disappointing releases in the Tandem Twin line, she is still a cute looking figure and despite her flaws, makes a great addition to the ever-growing series.
