If you ask anyone that has attended San Diego Comic-Con, the first thing I’m sure they’ll tell you is all the crazy people dressed up in cosplay. It’s like Halloween for ALL ages… for FIVE days straight. It’s all so surreal that it just becomes part of the norm.

All major pop culture licenses are represented, from the famous (Star Wars, Star Trek, Walking Dead), to the downright bizarre (Beauty and the Beast/ X-Men mash-up). One thing they all have in common is fan devotion.  It takes serious guts to dress up and attend SDCC, not to mention enduring the grueling heat wearing these get-ups. Each person dressed up, no matter how elaborate their costume, is making a simple statement and impression on others: we LOVE pop culture and are proud of it.
